Halfmile and Deb 8 San Diego area Somewhere on the PCT I'm flexible!
We are hosting hikers in our apartment in Chula Vista, which is just south of San Diego, and also providing rides to the PCT. We have a deluxe air mattress or sofa, can help with last minute errands, and provide rides to the trail and/or the Kickoff. Let us know how we can help you start your adventure.

We thru-hiked in '07 and have hosted hikers in San Diego ever since. We can pick you up at the airport or train station, put you up for a night or a few, feed you some home-cooked meals, and help with last-minute preparations. No tips or donations, please, but we encourage you to join the PCTA. We leave for the border trailhead each morning at 6 AM. We live within walking distance of two supermarkets, a drugstore, and a post office, and a short drive from REI. We are working with a network of San Diego hosts (including Pea Hicks), so if we don't have room for you, we'll make sure you are taken care of. We hope our hospitality can make starting your hike a bit less stressful for many of you.
Pea Hicks 3 San Diego area Somewhere on the PCT I'm flexible!
Howdy hikers- Time once again to make my trail-angeling announcement in preparation for the influx of hikers to San Diego! My trail name is Girlscout (though I'm a guy). I thru-hiked the PCT in 2006, and since then I've mostly satisfied my hiker-trash fix by hosting incoming hikers (section or thru) at my small house near downtown San Diego. While I can't provide meals, I'm happy to pick you up at the airport (or train/bus station), take you on your last-minute errands, provide an air mattress for you to crash on (either inside or outside, depending on weather and hiker capacity), and get you out to any destination in Section A of the PCT (Campo to Warner Springs). Any donations or tips you manage to sneak past me will be forwarded to the PCTA. This season I may have a handful of dates where I'll be out of town and not available, but in general I'm very open and flexible. Just shoot me an email with your proposed dates and we'll get the ball rolling!

Too late; these guys hitched up with someone else.
